Azerbaijan zeros out import duties on electric trucks until 2028

BAKU. March 5 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan has exempted the importation of electric trucks from customs duties until January 1, 2028, versus the current import duty of 5%, according to a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The resolution indicates that the exemption applies to electric trucks that have been manufactured within the past three years. The exemption enters into force 30 days from the date of publication.

"The government's decision is aimed at incentivizing the utilization of environmentally friendly and safe transport, as well as improving legislation in the area," according to the resolution.
