Working group on customs control unification to be established in Union State
MINSK. Feb 28 (Interfax) - A working group on unifying customs control will begin operating within the Russia-Belarus Union State, the Belarusian State Customs Committee's press service said.
"The resolution of the Union State on establishing a working group on customs administration and applying a risk management system was signed today between the Belarusian and Russian customs services. The document was approved during a bilateral meeting as part of the 49th session of the joint board of EAEU [Eurasian Economic Union] customs services held in Yerevan," it said.
"The practical implementation of the resolution's provisions will enable the uniform application of risk management system tools and unify approaches to their use within the Union State," it said.
It was reported that the newly created working group will ensure the monitoring and collection of information on customs control items, identify risk areas and analyze data on customs operations related to the movement of goods and vehicles.
