BurServis concludes deal to purchase Nafta Drilling Company

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The BurServis LLC oilfield services company has concluded the acquisition of Nafta Drilling Company LLC, with the change in ownership reported in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE) as of February 21.

BurServis LLC applied in November to the Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) for permission to purchase Nafta Drilling Company, and the FAS granted the request on January 21.

BurServis LLC chairman of the board of directors Roman Zhdanov earlier in an interview with Interfax said that the company plans to expand its asset portfolio, including through M&A transactions. "We are actively interested in companies with high-tech production in Russia. We are considering not only partnerships, but also purchasing these companies," he said.

Nafta Drilling Company specializes in exploration and production drilling, with two production bases in Nefteyugansk and Pyt-Yakh in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. The company generated revenue of 2.18 billion rubles and net profit of 112.7 million rubles in 2023, according to the Federal Tax Service.

BurServis LLC is one of Russia's largest oilfield service contractors, and is the successor to Halliburton's Russian assets. The company specializes in providing services in the area of drilling and developing oil and gas fields, and unites production bases in eight Russian regions.
