Russia, U.S. express interest at meeting in lifting barriers to economic cooperation - Lavrov

RIYADH. Feb 18 (Interfax) - The participants of the Russia-U.S. meeting in Riyadh have expressed an interest in removing barriers to economic cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a press conference after the bilateral talks on Tuesday.

"There was much interest in lifting the artificial obstacles on the path of development of mutually beneficial economic cooperation," Lavrov said.

Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, who also attended the meeting, "presented certain problems which could be settled fairly promptly for the benefit of Russia and the U.S.," Lavrov said.
