Transmashholding ramps up investment in development 35% to 28.5 bln rubles in 2024
MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Transmashholding Group (TMH) ramped up investment in development, creating new product models, and improving engineering capability by 35% year-on-year to 28.5 billion rubles in 2024, the group said.
TMH said that the most important projects implemented last year were developing the repairing of wheel sets for Ivolga electric trains at the Demikhovsky Engineering Plant; serial manufacturing of 1-9GMG gas piston engine-generators for small-scale power generation at the Kolomensky Plant and new types of traction asynchronous electric motors at TMH-Electrotech; updating the paint shop at the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant; as well as localizing manufacturing of important components for locomotives, metro trains and passenger cars of locomotive traction.
Powerful 3TE28 mainline freight diesel locomotives were launched last year; the St. Panteleimon mobile consultative and diagnostic center was established; and passenger railway carriages of T gauge locomotive traction and double-decker railway carriages for the Aurora train were created, the company said.
Transmashholding is Russia's largest developer and manufacturer of modern multi-car railway rolling stock. The company's headquarters are in Moscow, and it has international divisions in Egypt, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The holding includes 10 production and assembly sites in Russia and 30 other countries worldwide.
