Deputy Energy Minister Grabchak joins Russian govt electricity commission

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Deputy Energy Minister Evgeny Grabchak has joined the government commission on the development of the electricity industry, according to a government order published on the official portal of legal information.

In addition to Grabchak, the commission now includes Deputy Justice Minister Konstantin Panferov, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) Alexei Ferapontov, Unigreen Energy CEO Igor Shakhrai, the head of the Renewable Energy Association Alexei Zhikharev and Sberbank First Deputy Board Chairman Alexander Vedyakhin. The latter three were included by agreement.

At the same time, the commission removed the Justice Ministry's representative Elena Ardabyeva, Rostekhnadzor's representative Dmitry Frolov and the former chairman of the State Duma Energy Committee Pavel Zavalny.

Former Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov, who now heads the State Duma Energy Committee, and former Deputy Energy Minister and current head of T Plus Pavel Snikkars retained their positions on the commission.

As of July 25, 2024, in addition to these individuals, the government commission included Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak (who chairs the commission), Deputy Construction and Housing Minister Alexei Eresko, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Finance Minister Irina Okladnikova, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Maxim Shaskolsky, the deputy head of Novak's office Anton Erdyniev and Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.
