Over 70,000 Russian tourists visited Israel in 2024

MOSCOW. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Russia retained the fourth position among foreign tourists in Israel in 2024 with over 70,000 tourist arrivals seen over the year, the Israeli Tourism Ministry press service told Interfax.

"Russia ranked fourth in terms of tourism in Israel in January-December 2024, as 72,600 Russian tourists visited the country last year. We are working actively to restore tourism," the press service said.

Statistically, 961,000 tourists visited Israel in 2024. The United States lead far ahead of others with 330,300 tourist arrivals, followed by France (130,700) and the United Kingdom (79,100).

The top ten also included Ukraine, Germany, Canada, Italy, Indonesia and Belgium.

According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, 3 million foreign tourists visited Israel in 2023. The number of tourists fell after the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated on October 7, 2023.

In 2023, Russia also ranked fourth among foreign tourists in Israel with 158,500 tourist arrivals.
