Russian PM Mishustin expects Russian-Kyrgyz relations to strengthen

ALMATY. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said he hopes that relations between Moscow and Bishkek would continue to strengthen with the new Kyrgyz premier in office.

"We expect that the government of Kyrgyzstan will continue its policy of strengthening cooperation with Russia on all tracks under your leadership," Mishustin said at a meeting with newly appointed Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev.

Mishustin also asked his Kyrgyz counterpart to convey Russian President Vladimir Putin's warmest greetings to the Kyrgyz president.

Mishustin expressed readiness to discuss with Kasymaliyev all items of his interest on the relevant agenda of bilateral relations.

Kasymaliyev, for his part, said he expects "the closest cooperation and support" of the Russian premier.

He also conveyed the Kyrgyz president's greetings to the Russian leadership. "I am pleased to note that the relations of friendship and strategic partnership strengthen year after year. I would like to assure you that I will make all possible effort for the increase and forward movement of the results of cooperation achieved by you and my predecessor as the chairman of the cabinet of ministers," Kasymaliyev said.
