Crimea declares regional emergency over fuel oil spill

SIMFEROPOL. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Crimea has declared a regional emergency over the fuel oil spill from tankers wrecked in the Kerch Strait, Crimea head Sergei Aksyonov said in an order published on the Crimea government's website on Saturday.

"To identify the situation caused by pollution of Black Sea waters within the limits of the Kerch urban district in the Republic of Crimea and the Leninsky district of the Republic of Crimea with petroleum products as a regional man-made emergency," the order said.
