Russian govt sets 2025 export quotas for grain, sunflower oil, meal from new regions

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - The Russian government has established tariff quotas for the duty-free export of wheat, barley, corn, sunflower oil and meal from Russia's four new regions to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for 2025.

According to a resolution signed on December 26 and published on the official portal of legal information, the export quota for wheat, barley and corn is set at 150,000 tonnes for the Donetsk People's Republic, 140,000 tonnes for the Lugansk People's Republic, 1 million tonnes for the Zaporozhe region and 700,000 tonnes for the Kherson region.

A duty-free export quota for oilseed products has been set for the Zaporozhe region, at 25,000 tonnes for sunflower oil and 35,000 tonnes for sunflower meal.

The quota will be valid throughout the year, from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

The use of the tariff quota will require a one-time license issued by the Industry and Trade Ministry. The distribution of quotas has been assigned to the highest official of the respective Russian region.
