Ukraine's GDP growth slows to 2% in Q3 2024 - Statistics Service

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine's real GDP grew 2% in Q3 2024 compared to Q3 2023, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the State Statistics Service's tentative data.

Taking into account the seasonal factor, Ukraine's real GDP grew 0.2% in Q3 2024 from Q2 2024, it said.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) improved its economic growth forecast for 2024 to 4% from 3.7% and that for 2025 to 4.3% from 4.1% at the end of October 2024. At the same time, the NBU worsened its inflation forecast for 2024 to 9.7% from 8.5% and that for 2025 to 6.9% from 6.6%.

The Economy Ministry expects Ukraine's GDP to grow 3.9% with 9.5% inflation in 2024.

The State Statistics Committee said earlier that Ukraine's GDP grew 5.3% in 2023 following a 28.8% slump in 2022.

Ukraine's real GDP grew 6.5% in Q1 2024 and 3.7% in Q2 2024.
