Hero of Labor benefits, payouts should be extended to women holding Mother-Heroine title - Putin

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The social benefits and guarantees paid to Heroes of Labor should be extended to holders of the Mother-Heroine title, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"To bring up and raise three, four and more children is hard work. The Mother-Heroines of Russia are entitled to the same high status as a Hero of Labor. Their material assistance differ. This gap, this injustice should be eliminated, and all social guarantees, benefits and payouts provided for Heroes of Labor of Russia should be extended to women who have the high title of Mother-Heroine," Putin told the State Council for Family Support on Friday.

"They deserve it. We need to do everything possible for parents with many children to have as few problems as possible," Putin said.
