Starlink obtains license for work in Armenia
YEREVAN. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has issued a license for operating in the country to Starlink, Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said.
"The PSRC resolved at its meetings on December 4 and 13 to grant the license applications submitted earlier by the joint-stock company Starlinkam and to permit its business in the Republic of Armenia," Hayrapetyan said on social media.
The applications concerned the issuance of a license for operating a public electronic communication network and a permission to use radio frequency bands on a secondary basis for a provider of a public electronic communication network operated by global satellite communication systems, he said.
"So the licenses and permissions are now in place, and we are entering the stage of testing, which I hope will be completed in the coming months, and the service will start working in full force," Hayrapetyan said.
