Russia's Tagras oil service aims to resume operations in India
KAZAN. Dec 10 (Interfax) - The geophysical division of TNG-Group, part of the Tatarstan-based oilfield services holding Tagras, plans to resume operations in India, the company's press service said following a company delegation's visit to the office of Oil India, the country's largest oil producer.
The purpose of the visit was to renew business relations and discuss specific aspects of upcoming tenders.
TNG-Group and Oil India previously collaborated on the processing and interpretation of seismic data. The geophysical division of Tagras also executed several contracts in the region, including conducting seismic surveys for Sun Petrochemicals (SunPetro), one of India's largest private oil producers, on the offshore shelf of the Cambay Basin, the press service said.
The Tagras holding was founded in 2006 based on the service divisions of Tatneft , uniting 54 enterprises in eight divisions and providing geophysical, drilling, mechanical, oilfield, energy, and transport services, respectively.
According to Tagras' website, the company operates in India, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and 35 regions of Russia. Expanding into new markets is one of the holding's development priorities.
