Polyus estimates capex for Sukhoi Log at $6 bln, plant to have capacity of 34 mln tonnes of ore per year

MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Polyus has estimated capex for the Sukhoi Log project in the Irkutsk Region at $6 billion, the goldmining company said in a presentation.

Sukhoi Log is Polyus' largest development project.

The capacity of the gold processing plant will be 34 million tonnes of ore with the production of 2.3-2.8 million ounces of gold per year. The plant's first line is scheduled for launch in 2028 and the second line is scheduled for launch in 2029.

Overall production at Chulbatkan in the Khabarovsk Region and at Chertovo Koryto in the Irkutsk Region will be 600,000-700,000 ounces per year.
