Ukrainian state budget's general fund revenues total UAH 216.2 bln in Nov

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Receipts of taxes, fees, mandatory payments and grants to the Ukrainian state budget's general fund increased to UAH 216.2 billion in November compared to UAH 128.4 billion in October and UAH 120.5 billion in September, with a grant from the United States making the largest contribution to this, the Ukrainian media quoted current data as of 4 p.m. on November 29 on the Finance Ministry's website.

The State Tax Service revenues rose to UAH 106.1 billion in November from UAH 68.5 billion to UAH 64.3 billion in October-September thanks to a seasonal increase in income tax to UAH 44.1 billion from UAH 5.9 billion to UAH 4.9 billion in October-September, it said.

The value added tax dropped to UAH 20.3 billion this month from UAH 24.4 billion a month earlier, while refunds fell to UAH 14.8 billion from UAH 15.3 billion, it said.

As for other taxes, personal income tax and military levy also decreased to UAH 21.9 billion in November from UAH 22.9 billion in October, while excise tax rose to UAH 11.8 billion from UAH 11.4 billion and rental tax to UAH 4.4 billion from UAH 3 billion in October.

Receipts from the State Customs Service fell to UAH 49.3 billion in November from UAH 54.0 billion to UAH 52.3 billion in October-September.

The state budget's general fund also received UAH 56.4 billion in grants from the U.S. in November as part of under the World Bank's project Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE in Ukraine).

"Overall, according to current data, UAH 290.8 billion of taxes, fees and other payments were received to the general and special funds of the state budget by the end of November 2024 (UAH 177 billion in October). Additionally, UAH 39.4 billion (UAH 43.8 billion in October) was received in the form of unified social contributions to the pension and social insurance funds," it said.

Data on expenditures in November are not yet available.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada increased the 2024 state budget revenues by UAH 143.0 billion to UAH 1,911.5 trillion (excluding grants), expenditures by UAH 427.6 billion to UAH 3,736.6 trillion, and the marginal deficit by UAH 274.6 billion to UAH 1,846.1 trillion in mid-September.

As for the general fund, the growth of the 2024 state budget revenues reached UAH 154.2 billion up to UAH 1,750.8 trillion (excluding grants), expenditures UAH 438.8 billion up to UAH 3,547.0 trillion, and the marginal deficit UAH 274.6 billion up to UAH 1,783.7 trillion.

Revenues in the 2023 state budget totaled UAH 2.67 trillion, of which grant aid amounted to UAH 0.43 trillion. The state budget's cash expenditures exceeded UAH 4 trillion last year, while the deficit stood at UAH 1.33 trillion at an average annual exchange rate of around UAH 36.6/$1.
