Russia executes federal budget at surplus of 124 bln rubles in Jan-Oct - Treasury

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Russia executed the federal budget at a surplus of 124.2 billion rubles in January-October 2024, the Federal Treasury posted on its website.

The Finance Ministry had preliminarily estimated the government executing the budget at a deficit of 220 billion rubles for the period.

Treasury data indicate that budget revenues totaled nearly 29.679 trillion rubles in 10M 2024 versus Finance Ministry data of 29.668 trillion rubles, and expenses totaled nearly 29.555 trillion rubles against 26.889 trillion rubles according to the Finance Ministry.

The Treasury previously said that the federal budget deficit totaled 734.0 billion rubles in 9M 2024, thereby totaling a surplus of 858.2 billion rubles in October.
