Ukraine can double agricultural exports - PM

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Ukraine is able to double agricultural exports and provide food to almost 600 million people worldwide in the medium term, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

According to Ukrainian media, Shmygal made the statement at the Third Grain from Ukraine International Food Security Conference on Saturday.

Ukraine has collected the third harvest since the beginning of the crisis, it amounts to more than 53 million tonnes of grains and legumes, he said. The 2024 harvest is still being collected, and Ukraine will harvest enough for both the domestic market and exports, Shmygal said.

"We supply food to over 100 states for more than 400 million people. These are mostly countries of Southeast Asia and Africa. We can double agricultural exports in the medium term," he said.
