Ukraine increases its revenues from grain, oil exports by 35.6% in Q1 of 2024-2025 marketing year
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Ukraine's revenue from exports of grains, oilseeds, oil cakes and vegetable oil in the first quarter of the 2024-2025 season, July-October 2024, has reached $6.1 billion, which is $1.6 billion, or 35.6%, more than in the previous season, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the social networks of the Ukrainian Grain Association.
"In the four months, Ukraine received significantly higher export revenues from sales of wheat, barley, rapeseed and soybeans in comparison with the previous season," the association said.
In July-October 2024, sales of wheat on external markets brought Ukraine $1.456 billion, which is 1.9 times more than in the previous year, and revenues from exports of rapeseed grew by 50.6% to $1.119 billion, corn by 32% to $849 million, soybeans 2.1 times to $477 million, and barley three times to $286 million, it said.
At the same time, revenues from exports of sunflower oil decreased by 0.7% to $1.356 billion and oil cakes by 9.2% to $344 million in July-October 2024 year-on-year.
