Ukraine to abolish verification procedure for agrifood exporters starting Dec 1
MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - Starting December 1, 2024, Ukraine will abolish the regulation under which exporters of agricultural products have to undergo a verification procedure and obtain export licenses if they have not yet undergone this procedure, Ukrainian media reported citing the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's statement following a meeting of the Coordination Council on Logistics in the Agricultural Sector chaired by Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Vitaly Koval.
The Ukrainian government recently issued a resolution instituting an export guarantee procedure during martial law effective as of December 1, 2024, with minimum export prices to be set for a number of agricultural products.
First Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Taras Vysotsky pointed out that the ministry sets minimum export prices on the 10th day of every month. Agricultural products can be exported only by registered payers of VAT.
"Information on the approval of minimum export prices will be available on the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's official website," the ministry said.
