Ukraine's 2025 state budget allocates over UAH 6 bln for agricultural development - Agrarian Policy Ministry
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved the 2025 draft state budget, which allocates over UAH 6 billion for the agricultural sector, including UAH 1 billion for developing livestock breeding and agricultural processing, Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Vitaly Koval said.
"Despite the crisis and difficult conditions, the state budget envisages substantial support for farmers. In particular, UAH 1 billion is provided for livestock breeding and the processing industry as a major element in supporting the agricultural sector. These funds will come from land lease auctions as part of the Land Bank project," Ukrainian media quoted Koval as saying in a statement released by the Economy Ministry's press service.
The state budget also provides UAH 4.726 million for paying subsidies per hectare and for keeping cows, sheep and goats, it said. Another UAH 200 million is allocated for restoring and building soil improvement systems, UAH 5 million is provided for compensation of unified social contributions to family farms, and UAH 80 million for interest-free loans to farms.
The 2025 state budget also provides UAH 1.37 billion for grants, including those for orchards and greenhouses, and UAH 1 billion for demining farmland.
