Next round of Syria talks in Astana due on Nov 11-12 - Kazakh Foreign Ministry
ASTANA. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The 22nd round of Syria talks in Astana will be held in the Kazakh capital on November 11-12, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press service said on Friday.
There will be bilateral and trilateral consultations on the first day, to be continued on the second day, and a plenary session and press conference will be held at the end of the event, the press service said.
"The following items are on the agenda: the development of the regional situation around Syria, the effort towards a comprehensive settlement in Syria, the situation on the ground in Syria, confidence building measures, including the release of hostages and the search for missing persons, the humanitarian situation in Syria and mobilization of international community efforts to assist in the post-conflict restoration of Syria and the creation of conditions for the return of Syrian refugees to the home country," it said.
Astana hosted the previous round of negotiations in January 2024.
