Ukrainian market of new commercial vehicles up 11% in October 2024 Y-o-Y - association
MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - The number of new commercial vehicles (trucks and special-purpose automobiles) registered in Ukraine increased by 11% to 1,082 in October 2024 year-on-year, Ukrainian media outlets cited Ukrautoprom, the national association of motor vehicle manufacturers, as saying on social media.
Yet, demand for such vehicle grew insignificantly, by 1%, or 14 vehicles, in October 2024 month-on-month, Ukrautoprom said.
Renault continued to top the list by a large margin with 246 vehicles sold in Ukraine in October 2024, Citroen climbed to second place from third place with 111 vehicles, Ford came third with 90 vehicles, followed by Mercedes-Benz (78) and MAN (76).
As reported, the October 2023 top five brands on Ukraine's new commercial vehicles market were Renault (194), MAN (94), Peugeot (79). Ford (66), and Scania (64). The market grew by a total of 91.6% to 977 vehicles in October 2023 year-on-year.
As many as 10,400 new vehicles joined the fleet of trucks and special-purpose vehicles in Ukraine in January-October 2024, which is 14% more than in the same period last year, Ukrautoprom said.
