McDonald's opens another restaurant in Ukraine
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - McDonald's Ukraine Ltd., developing a network of McDonald's fast food restaurant in Ukraine, opened a McDonald's restaurant in Boyarka, Kiev region, last weekend, Ukrainian media said, citing the company press service.
This is the first McDonald's restaurant in Boyarka and the 105th operating McDonald's restaurant in Ukraine. The nationwide network consists of 120 establishments, including 15 temporarily closed for security reasons, and continues to expand, including in the suburbs of Kiev.
McDonald's Ukraine Development Director Vitaly Stefurak told the press earlier that the network sought to be present in every key suburb of Kiev and Lvov. He mentioned Gatnoye and Chabany, besides Boyarka.
The restaurant is over 470 square meters large. It will have 128 seats indoors and another 84 on the terrace. The restaurant will create 60 jobs in the community.
The first McDonald's restaurant in Ukraine opened in Kiev on May 24, 1997.
According to Opendatabot, the company's revenue grew 3.9 times year-on-year to 12.9 billion hryvni in 2023. The 2023 financial results indicate the company's net profit of 1.29 billion hryvni, versus 2-billion-hryvni loss in 2022.
The company personnel grew 7% to 9,614 in 2023.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, MCD Europe Limited (based in London, the UK) is the 100% shareholder of McDonald's Ukraine Ltd.
