EBRD may provide 40 mln euros to Ukraine's Oschadbank for loan risk coverage
MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) may provide 40 million euros to the Ukrainian state-run Oschadbank for risk coverage of the 100-million-euro loan portfolio.
As Ukrainian media reported, citing the EBRD website, 70% of the funds will finance subprojects in energy production and storage and support for energy efficiency of Ukrainian private and public enterprises, regional municipalities and households.
The Board of Directors will consider the project on December 4, 2024.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, which qualify for the program, will also receive technical assistance and grants as investment incentives upon the completion of their projects.
According to the Ukrainian National Bank, Oschadbank ranked second among 62 national by total assets (425.75 billion hryvni) as of September 1, 2024. Its net profit stood at 11.18 billion hryvni in the first eight months this year.
