Indian PM, S. African president arrive in Kazan for BRICS summit

KAZAN. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Kazan on Tuesday to take part in BRICS summit events, the head of Tatarstan's press service said.

Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met Modi and Ramaphosa at the Kazan international airport.

India has been part of BRICS since its inception. South Africa held BRICS presidency in 2023.

Kazan is to host the BRICS summit from October 22-24.
