Power supply cut to 550 communities in Ukraine - Energy Ministry
MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - On Tuesday morning, 550 communities across Ukraine were fully or partially cut off from power supply for various reasons, including technical breaches, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Energy Ministry.
In particular, a number of customers had no electricity in the Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkov, and some other regions of Ukraine.
On the whole, power consumption was consistent with regular seasonal patterns, going down 1.3% on Tuesday morning after increasing on Monday.
The daily consumption peak recorded on Monday evening had been 3.4% higher than on the previous working day, on Friday, October 18.
Ukraine increased electricity imports to 7,333 MW/h on Tuesday from 6,700 MW/h on Monday.
