Chinese president arrives in Kazan for BRICS summit

KAZAN. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in the Russian city of Kazan on Tuesday to participate in the BRICS summit.

"President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping has arrived in Kazan to attend the BRICS summit. Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov greeted him at the international airport," the press service for the head of Tatarstan said.

The BRICS summit is due to take place in Kazan on October 22-24.
