Venezuelan vice-president arrives in Kazan for BRICS summit

KAZAN. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez, who arrived to attend the BRICS summit, was met in Kazan, the press service for the head of Tatarstan said on Monday.

"Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez has arrived in Kazan," the press service said in a statement.

It was reported in August that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had officially announced an application to join BRICS, and the Foreign Ministry filed a relevant request.

A BRICS summit will be held in Kazan on October 22-24.
