Kazakh PM calls for proactive search for export-oriented producers

ALMATY. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov, has asked government agencies and development institutions to actively seek out efficient local producers for export opportunities, the government press service said.

"There is a need for state bodies to actively collaborate with businesses, creating favorable conditions and seeking out entrepreneurs eager to develop export-oriented industries," Bektenov said.

The meeting brought together ministers, regional governors and leaders from key institutions such as Baiterek Holding, Development Bank of Kazakhstan and the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

Discussions also focused on Baiterek's new pilot project approaches, aimed at simplifying and standardizing investment project requirements. "The main goal is to streamline and unify the requirements for reviewing investment projects and supporting business initiatives at all stages, from application submission to achieving full operational capacity," the press service said.

The National Economy Ministry and others were asked to urgently adopt a new proactive work format.
