Norway to allocate 250 mln euros to support Ukraine's energy infrastructure

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has announced a new package of energy support for Ukraine ahead of winter during his visit to Kiev.

"Today, we announce an assistance package of 250 million euros precisely for the energy infrastructure. We are working with the Ukrainian authorities and international partners to support the repairs and help with new modern infrastructure," Ukrainian media quoted him as saying at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday.

He also said that Norway had recently announced an increase in the Nansen Support Program for Ukraine to 11.4 billion euros.
