Analysts raise forecasts for key rate and inflation ahead of Central Bank of Russia's Oct meeting
MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Analysts have raised their forecast for the average key rate in 2024 to 17.3% from the 17.1% they were predicting in September, according to a monthly survey for the Central Bank of Russia.
The 2025 forecast rises to 18% from 16.1%, 2026 to 12.5% from 11.5% and 2027 to 9% from 8.6%.
The neutral key rate forecast is unchanged at 8%.
The latest survey was carried out from October 11-15.
The forecast for Russian GDP growth in 2024 has been increased to 3.7% from 3.6%. Expectations for inflation this year have also increased, to 7.7% from 7.3%.
