Number of rail passengers on decline in Sept - Ukrainian Railways
MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The number of passengers carried by Ukrainian Railways dropped to 2.2 million in September.
"The passenger traffic is usually on decline in September compared to the summer season, however, the railroads carried 2.2 million passengers this month," Ukrainian media quoted the company's press service as saying.
Ukrainian Railways did not report the number of passengers carried in July-August. In total, 2.5 million passengers were carried in June, of this number, 210,000 passengers for foreign destinations. On June 30, the railroads set a record by transporting 100,000 passengers in one day, which is an all-time high since the beginning of the crisis.
