Russian, Laotian FM discussing bilateral cooperation, interaction in ASEAN

VIENTIANE. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is meeting with Laotian Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith on the ASEAN summit sidelines in Vientiane on Thursday, an Interfax correspondent reported.

"This is a good opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation and Russia-ASEAN interaction," Saleumxay said in his opening remarks.

In turn, Lavrov said he was happy to visit Laos and had no doubt that the ASEAN summit under the Laotian presidency would be successful.
