VK closes deal to buy 10% of Kassir.ru ticket operator
MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - VK has closed the deal to purchase 10% of Kassir.ru National Ticket Operator LLC, and the corresponding changes for the internet holding were registered in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE) on October 8.
The seller was Yevgeny Finkelshtein, the co-founder of the ticket operator and CEO of the PMI media holding, with his share declining to 52.75%.
The VK press service confirmed to Interfax the acquisition of a 10% stake in Kassir.ru. The holding refrained from providing detailed comments.
Sources told Interfax earlier that the deal was approximately 500 million rubles. VK plans to integrate the asset into the ecosystem to improve the efficiency of promotional activities on the company's platforms, the source said.
VK acquired 20% of NKS Technologies, which develops automation for the ticket sales process, in early October. The holding became a co-owner of another ticket service, Intickets.ru, in May, having bought 40% in Intickets LLC. VK reported later that the transaction is valued at 723 million rubles, taking into account the deferred payment.
Registered in 2007, Kassir.ru National Ticket Operator LLC has charter capital totaling 64,000 rubles. In addition to VK and Finkelstein, the co-owners of the company are Nadezhda Solovyova (12.25%), Alexei Giyazov (2%), Vladimir Verkhoshinsky (1%), and JSC AB Holding (22%), which is the parent company of Alfa-Bank.
The company boosted revenue 2.5-fold year-on-year to 1.9 billion rubles in 2023, and net profit soared 31.5-fold to 270.9 million rubles.
