Belarus-Russia investment projects currently under implementation total 168 bln rubles - Belarusian minister

MINSK. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Belarus jointly with Russian partners are currently implementing 27 investment projects totaling approximately 168 billion Russian rubles, Belarusian Industry Minister Alexander Yefimov said.

"There are already 27 investment projects under implementation with Russian partners. The overall investment costs for the Belarus-Russia projects are about 168 billion Russian rubles. All projects are in the active stage of implementation. They are being implemented on schedule, and products from these projects are already being actively supplied to the common union market," Yefimov said on Belarus 1 TV on Sunday.

Yefimov said that further developing programs in terms of automation and mechanization of production is being actively considered with Russian colleagues.

"A decision was reached in July this year on jointly developing the production of robotic systems to equip our industrial enterprises as part of the Eurasian Economic Union. The operations are financed and supported within a national project at Russia's level. We have actively joined the operations, and we will create fundamentally new types of products together with our Russian colleagues that will allow us to automate our enterprises," Yefimov said.
