Deputy PM Stefanishina, some other Ukrainian govt members hand in resignation letters

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has received a letter of resignation from Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina, Ukrainian media said.

"The letter of resignation will be reviewed at one of the next plenary sessions," parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said on the Facebook social media platform (owned by the Meta corporation, which has been designated in Russia as extremist).

Stefanishina was appointed to this post on June 4, 2020.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada has received letters of resignation from Strategic Industries Minister Alexander Kamyshin, Justice Minister Denis Malyuska and Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Minister Ruslan Strelets. Another Ukrainian deputy prime minister, Irina Vereshchuk, has also announced her resignation.

State Property Fund head Vitaly Koval's letter of resignation has also been received.
