IMF starting fifth review under EFF program - Ukrainian PM

MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is launching its fifth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, which will allow Ukraine to secure $1.1 billion in loans in the fall of 2024, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"The IMF's European Department Director Alfred Kammer and I discussed the start of the mission's work. I thanked Kammer and the entire IMF team for their consistent work on the fourth review under the program this summer," Shmygal said on Telegram.

The implementation of reforms in Ukraine and steps to fulfill the program's structural benchmarks were also discussed, he said.
