Moscow Exchange not planning to buy broker - IR director

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The Moscow Exchange does not plan to buy a brokerage, the exchange's investor relations director, Anton Terentyev said in a conference call on its financial results for the second quarter.

National daily Kommersant, citing sources, reported in mid-August that the Moscow Exchange wants to acquire a brokerage and has been holding such negotiations since the spring.

"This information is not true. We will continue to attend to our business. We believe in specialization on the market, everyone should go about their own business," Terentyev said when asked to comment on the report about plans to buy a broker.
