JYSK reopens store in Ukraine's Vinnitsa after renovation

MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - The JYSK international retail chain's largest store reopened in Ukraine's Vinnitsa on Thursday following a renovation, Ukrainian media said, citing the company's press service.

The store's warehouse space was enlarged, new lighting and in-store equipment was installed, and there also plans to further improve the ergonomics of its logistics processes, JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevgeny Ivanitsa was quoted by the press release as saying. The shopping floor space is 1,076 square meters. The store's warehouse space was increased by 21 square meters to 275 square meters. The store also has a new 35 sq m office.

The Vinnitsa store has been remodeled in line with the JYSK 3.0 modern store concept.

New lease contracts have also been signed, JYSK said. JYSK currently has a 98-store chain in Ukraine and plans to expand it to 105 stores before the end of 2024. Specifically, it plans to open the ninth store in Lvov and the 37th in the Kiev area.

The JYSK stores in Ukraine have a staff of over 800 people.

JYSK is part of the family Lars Larsen Group with over 3,400 stores in 48 countries. JYSK's revenue totalled 5.2 billion euros in the 2022-2023 financial year.
