Kazakh president arrives in Tajikistan on state visit

ASTANA. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Dushanbe on Thursday on a state visit, the Kazakh presidential press service said.

Tokayev was greeted by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon at the airport.

Top-level negotiations in the narrow format and in the presence of the two countries' governmental delegations will take place during Tokayev's visit to Tajikistan.

"The parties plan to sign a number of bilateral documents aimed at further deepening their political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation," the press service said.
