Gubernatorial election will not be postponed in Russia's Kursk region - regional elections commission head
MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - The upcoming gubernatorial election in the Kursk region will not be postponed, as the region has enough ways and means to hold it, head of the Kursk regional elections commission Tatyana Malakhova said.
"We have asked the CEC to postpone elections of local government bodies, but we have enough ways and means to carry out the gubernatorial election in the Kursk region," Malakhova said at a meeting of the Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC) on Wednesday.
