Novak appointed to VEB supervisory board to replace Belousov
MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has been appointed as a member of the VEB supervisory board, and the corresponding government order, dated August 16, was published on the official portal of legal acts on Friday.
The same document has terminated the authority of Andrei Belousov as a member of the VEB supervisory board.
Belousov, who was previously a first deputy prime minister, was appointed Defense Minister in May this year. Novak oversees the development of the domestic economy and investment policy in the new composition of the Russian government, in addition to his usual fuel and energy sector duties.
Deputy Prime Minister and Government Chief of Staff Dmitry Grigorenko has been the chairman of the VEB supervisory board since September 2020.
