Putin, Abbas to hold negotiations in Russia on Aug 13 - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold negotiations with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on August 13, the Kremlin press service said on Monday.

Abbas will be on an official visit to Russia.

"Apart from discussing relevant aspects of the continued development of bilateral cooperation, the parties expect to exchange opinions on the situation in the Middle East in light of the current exacerbation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip," it said.
