Kazakhstan extends breeding livestock export ban, lowers customs duties on fruit purees

ALMATY. July 29 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan has extended its ban on exporting breeding livestock until the end of the year, the government's press service said.

This decision to extend the ban for another six months, in effect since January 8, 2024, was made at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy.

The extension supports large-scale dairy farm construction and livestock development using the Australian method.

Additionally, the commission approved reduced customs duties on importing apricot, pear, and peach puree to support domestic juice and beverage producers.
