Putin meets with Syrian president

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad, who has arrived in Russia on a visit, have met in the Kremlin.

Al-Assad last visited Russia in March 2023.

Media outlets have been reporting since the beginning of the year, citing their sources, that Russia could host the first meeting between al-Assad and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
