Belgium to fund reconstruction projects in Ukraine for 150 mln euros - Kiev

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has signed an agreement with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo on financing reconstruction projects in Ukraine for 150 million euros.

"In particular, the funds will be used to rebuild energy and social infrastructure in the Kiev and Chernigov regions," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on social media on Wednesday following an online meeting with the Belgian prime minister.

The signed agreement facilitates the implementation of joint programs and projects and will contribute to Ukraine's recovery, economic and social development, he said.

In accordance with the agreement, the Belgian development agency Enabel will open a representative office in Ukraine.
