European Commission supplies solar panels for Ukrainian healthcare establishments

MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Ukraine has received the first 5,876 solar panels made by Enel S.p.A with a total capacity nearing 2MW for being installed in healthcare establishments.

The delivery is part of the Ray of Hope project of the Health Ministry, the Energy Ministry and the European Commission, Ukrainian media said, citing the Health Ministry.

The equipment will go to healthcare establishments in the Zhitomir, Volyn, Khmelnitsky, Kiev and Odessa regions.

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund will buy additional equipment for the solar panels, the Health Ministry said.

The ministry added that UNDP experts have performed energy audit of 26 healthcare establishments in Ukraine on coordination with the Energy Ministry and with the European Commission's support.
