Russian govt allows petrol export in July

MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - The Russian government has allowed petrol exports in July, under a government resolution published on the official legal information website.

The ban on petrol exports will not be valid until July 31, the document said.

"Measures taken earlier to regulate the export have proved efficient, enabling saturation of the domestic market. This is why the Government decided to extend the suspension of the temporary petrol export ban by another month, beginning from July 1," Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev was quoted by the ministry's press service as saying.

The domestic market has an adequate supply of motor fuels, demand is being fully met by supply, he said.
