Russia's Ural Airlines, Volga-Dnepr Airlines included in EU sanctions list
MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - Ural Airlines has been include in the EU sanctions list, the Official Journal of the European Union said.
According to the document, the company carried servicemen to the zone of military operations at the mobilization stage following the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. It also "established a special ticket-selling scheme with the Russian Ministry of Defense," it said.
The cargo airline Volga-Dnepr Airlines and its owners Igor Aksyonov, Sergei Dyachkov, Valery Gabriel, and Vildan Zinnurov have also been sanctioned by the EU.
Volga-Dnepr is operational in "sectors of strategic significance for the Russian government," the document said.
